bacon and banana sandwich

For Recipe Monday by Amityvilleboronia because
a) I went through a stage of craving bacon and banana, with onion.
and b) this is actually a recipe on yahoo food. A recipe. For a sandwich with two ingredients.

.
Ingredients
4 slices of bread
2 bananas
1 packet of chopped bacon (no fat)
.
Method
1. Toast bread under griller on one side only. Remove from grill.
2. Slice the 2 bananas lengthwise and place on untoasted side of bread.
3. Distribute bacon pieces evenly over bananas and firmly press down. Grill until done.
.
Enjoy! Have you ever had weird cravings?

  1. I LOVE vegemite and honey sandwiches/toast! It's the same idea I guess - salty and sweet! You should try it, delicious! I might have to try this too! ;)

  4. I love bacon and banana!!! I usually also have it with peanut paste though, lots of peanut paste, mmmmmmm!!!

I went to a restaurant once, and they had this item on the menu called the Elvis. Of course it was a pan fried (massive) peanut paste, banana and bacon sandwedge with brown sugar. The waiter told me I was the first person ever to order it!!! HAHAHAHA.. I was so excited I ordered it every time I went back to the place, then after a few visits they'd taken it off the menu so I asked, and the chef was rather chuffed and made me one especially!! heh heh heh

  5. Oh I would so totally try this!

My two cents: Fried rice tastes good with a bit of maple syrup.

This morning I made myself a slice of toast with peanut butter and nutella. Yum. Tastes like a warm, nutty brownie.
